     Lieutenant Mike “Jockey” Lisa hails from Larchmont, New York and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1999.  Upon graduation, LCDR Lisa immediately attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, where he earned a Masters of Science degree in Physics graduating in June of 2000. He received his Aviator Wings in July of 2002 from Meridian, Mississippi with orders to VAQ-129 for Fleet Replacement Squadron training as a pilot in the EA-6B Prowler.  He was awarded the CDR Louis “Seadog” Fodor Memorial Award in 2005, for outstanding Junior Officer Leadership in the community.  LCDR Lisa graduated from the US Navy Test Pilot School in June of 2007 and was assigned to the Carrier Suitability Department of VX-23.  He has been project officer and project pilot for over 15 fixed wing projects and led 6 Precision Approach Landing System certification detachments world wide.  LCDR Lisa flew the first arrested landing in the EA-18G aircraft aboard USS Eisenhower in support of EA-18G Initial Sea Trials.
    LCDR Lisa has been awarded two Naval Achievement Medals as well as numerous unit awards and citations to include two Battle E awards.  “Jockey” has over 200 carrier arrested landings and over 1,200 hours in 25 aircraft. 
    LCDR Lisa is married to the former Cynthia Persinger who is an EA-6B pilot.  They are proud parents of four month old Julia Mary. They reside in Lexington Park, MD.
